Can’t Join Crab Game: How To Fix?

The last man standing prevails in the first-person multiplayer video game Crab Game, which features a variety of minigames modeled after kids’ games. However, players always have to close the window and try again after watching the loading cycle spin interminably. We will explain how to avoid getting stuck on the joining server screen in this article.

Why You Can’t Join The Crab Game

Since there is only one developer working on the crab game, we can anticipate that a few fixes or server-side fixes will help it load or connect to the servers without keeping players waiting on the loading screen.

The players who have run into this problem claim that connecting to the servers takes an eternity. Players observe the loading cycle spin until they attempt again.

Undoubtedly, a large number of players will experience connection issues, and some may become stuck at the loading screen. You’re not the only one who has problems with a slow or unstable internet connection that causes you to be kicked out of the server or game.

The Crab Game only displays 38 players even though it can accommodate up to 40 players at once, which is a bug. Additionally, a server does not alert you when it fills up to its limit of 40 players.

It might, for instance, stop you from joining a game and lock you out of it until a spot opens up. The players will eventually grow weary of it because it occurs repeatedly. Wait a while, the developers will fix this simple server-side problem.

How To Fix Crab Game Stuck On Loading Screen

We can anticipate that a few patch fixes or resolving some server-side issues will help the game load faster and connect to online servers since it is a brand-new game on the market and there is only one developer working on it.

The affected players claim that joining the servers literally takes an eternity. The loading cycle eventually causes players to wait until they can try again.

The main issue is that whenever you try to join the game server, this specific problem always arises. The server is currently experiencing this issue due to the large number of other players who are currently online.

It follows that a large number of players will undoubtedly have trouble connecting to the server and may become stuck on the loading screen. While many other players might have problems with any kind of slow/unreliable internet connection leading to them being kicked out of the server or game.

The Crab Game only displays 38 players, which is a bug, even though a server can have up to 40 active players at once.

The good news is that we’ve shared a few solutions for this problem, which you can find below.

Allow Crab Game Through Firewall

  • Choose Firewall & network protection from the list after typing “firewall” into the Start menu.
  • Go to Change settings by clicking Allow an app through the firewall.
  • Choose Allow another app > Click on Browse and choose the Crab Game directory that is installed on the computer. [C:/Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/crabgame/Crab Game/Crab Game application]
  • Click on Open > Click on Add after choosing the game application.
  • Restart the computer once more to see if the issue has been resolved.

Tweak Boot Config File

  • Launch Steam and select Crab Game from the library.
  • To access the game’s properties, right-click on it.
  • Go to Crab Game Data by selecting Local Files > Browse.
  • The wait-for-native-debugger=0 line can be found here. Double-click the boot file to open it.
  • Simply replace the number 0 with the number 1 and press Ctrl+S to save the change.
  • Restart the computer to check if the Crab Game Stuck on Loading Screen or Joining Servers issue still exists.

Try Joining A Server With Fewer Players

It is strongly advised to try joining a server with a small player base, ideally with no more than 40 players. The likelihood that you will be able to access the server with ease in that situation is high.

Verify Integrity Of Game Files

A game file that is corrupted or missing can occasionally result in a number of problems with the game’s startup or gameplay, including difficulties connecting to servers and other things. To resolve this problem, make sure to check the game files’ integrity to see if each one is functioning properly.

  • Steam should open after you select Library.
  • The Crab Game will appear in the list of installed games. Click it with the right mouse button.
  • To access local files, go to Local Files by clicking on Properties now.
  • Verify Integrity of Game Files should be selected.
  • You will have to wait until the procedure is finished.
  • Once finished, simply restart your computer to check if the Crab Game is still having problems joining servers or is stuck on the loading screen.

Turn Off Windows Firewall Or Antivirus Program

To see if the issue has been resolved or not, you should also try disabling your computer’s Windows Firewall or antivirus software.

  • The firewall can be found by typing it into the Start Menu.
  • Pick Windows Defender Firewall from the search results.
  • From the left pane, select Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or Off.
  • Choose the option to “Turn off Windows Defender Firewall” for both the “Private & Public Network Settings” on the new page that appears (not recommended).
  • After making your choice, press “OK” to save the modifications.
  • Start your computer again to finish.

Similar to that, Windows Security protection must also be disabled. Simply carry out the actions listed below:

  • To access the Windows Settings menu, press the Windows + I keyboard shortcuts.
  • Windows Security can be found by selecting Update & Security from the left pane.
  • Now select the “Open Windows Security” button.
  • Go to “Virus & threat protection” and select “Manage settings.”
  • The Real-time protection toggle must then be turned off, which is the next step.
  • If a confirmation prompt appears, select Yes to continue.
  • Additionally, if you choose, you can disable both tamper protection and cloud-delivered protection.

Power Cycle Your Wi-fi Router

The last but not least step is to try performing a power cycle on your Wi-Fi router to resolve the server connectivity issue if none of the methods mentioned above were successful for you. To do so:

  • Completely shut down the router and disconnect the power cord.
  • After about 30 seconds, plug the power cable into the router once more.
  • Turn on the router once more to see if the issue has been resolved.
